Ann B Davis, TV’s “Alice,” Passes away at 88

Today classic television viewers lost a beloved icon. Ann B. Davis is most popularly known for her portrayal as Alice Nelson, the Housekeeper, on television’s the Brady Bunch. Born in New York in 1926, Davis won an Emmy twice for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on The Bob Cummings Show. She did a series of commercials in the 1960’s and 70’s for Ford, and later did commercials for Minute Rice.

Davis was very beloved and helped serve the Episcopal Church community. Though she was in excellent health for a woman of 88 years, Ann B. Davis passed away the morning of June 1, 2014 after a fall in the home she shared with a Minister friend and his wife.
