Rik Mayall, a British comedian best known for his work on the show the Young Ones, has passed away. Mayall was a prolific actor with what many called a “rubber face” due to his making a living from characters with very vivid facial expressions. These would come in handy during his work with Black Adder and as the title role of the imaginary friend and title character of the film Drop Dead Fred.
56 year-old Mayall passed away early at home on June 9, 2014 and his death was
quickly announced by his management team. Rik Mayall was well-loved by all who worked with him and will be missed deeply by fans of British comedy.
