The Queen Mary’s CHILL Hosts the 21st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Wednesday, December 3


2014QUEENMARY_CHILL_SantasCabinLONG BEACH, Calif., (November 26, 2014) – On November 21 a CHILL swept over the city of Long Beach as The Queen Mary welcomed back the annual holiday tradition. Thousands of local residents and visitors bundled up to experience a California Christmas at CHILL during its opening weekend. CHILL festivities continue through January 11 with special holiday events and performances planned throughout the season.

On December 3 at 7 p.m. The Queen Marys’ CHILL will present the 21st annual holiday Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony complete with, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and special performances by U.S. Figure Skating’s brightest new stars Sean Rabbit, who placed 14th at US Olympic Trials, is a 5-time US National Competitor, and 2014 & 2015 Pacific Coast Sectional Championship Silver Medalist as well as Gia Kokotakis who took home the 2014 Southwest Pacific Coast Sectionals Championship Bronze Medal.

A limited number of guests can attend the celebration free of charge and enjoy Ginny’s Gingerbread House, Claus Cabin and Santa’s Toy Shoppe from 5-10 p.m. CHILL guests will enjoy a festive performance by children’s choir Cantos de Los Bellos plus regularly scheduled entertainment including The Toymaker’s Magic Show, Bling Divas and The Satin Dollz.

Guests are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to contribute to the Long Beach Fire Department’s Spark of Love Toy Drive which will have a donation drop off at the Tree Lighting.

Visitors can experience the glistening Ice Kingdom in the theme of a California Christmas hand carved from 2 million pounds of ice, six-lanes of unlimited ice tubing down Glacier Glide, ice skating under the stars, a visit to the North Pole Village, the Claus Cabin, the Queen Mary ship bounce, snow flurries on Blizzard Boulevard, and live shows daily and a visit on the majestic Queen Mary ship.

CHILL tickets start at just $34.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids (ages 4-11). Lodging packages are also available. CHILL will be open Nov. 26-30, Dec. 2-7, Dec. 9-Jan. 4 and Jan. 8-11.
