Phoenix Comicon Announces a Whole Slew of New Guests Including Christopher Lloyd!

If Phoenix Comicon wasn’t already a great time, the fine folks out in Arizona have now announced the following guests. Color us excited:

 

unnamed (1)Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd is going to be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Lloyd is best known for playing Doc Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family and its sequel Addams Family Values, and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He rose to prominence in the 1980s as Jim Ignatowski in the television series Taxi.

Lloyd has used his vocal talents in animation, frequently voicing villains. He provided voice to the character The Hacker on the animated PBS series Cyberchase. Lloyd has won three Primetime Emmy Awards and an Independent Spirit Award, and has been nominated for two Saturn Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award.

Brazillian Comic Artists join the Phoenix Comicon Guest List

Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá, Brazilian comic book artists best known for their work on Casanova, B.P.R.D., PIXU, and Daytripper, will be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! While the Eisner Award winning twin brothers often work together, Gabriel is also known for The Umbrella Academy and Fábio has recently worked on Chrononauts.

 

Rafael Albuquerque, comic creator and artist from Porto Alegre in Brazil, will be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! The Eisner and Harvey Award winning co-creator is known for titles including Crimeland, Mondo Urbano, American Vampire, Batman, Uncanny X-Force, Batwoman, and many more.

 

Authors Chuck Wendig, Ann Leckie, and Tom Leveen

Author, screenwriter, and game designer Chuck Wendig is going to be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! He is the author of the novels Blackbirds,Mockingbird, The Blue Blazes, The Cormorant, and Under the Empyrean Sky. Joining us at Phoenix Comicon 2015 is award winning author of the booksAncillary Justice and Ancillary Sword,Ann Leckie! She has also published short stories in Subterranean Magazine, Strange Horizons, andRealms of Fantasy. Please welcome author Tom Leveenback to Phoenix Comicon for 2015! What’s a Comicon without more Comic Guests?

Don Rosa, Eisner Award winner forThe Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, is returning to Phoenix Comicon for 2015! Writer and illustrator of about 90 stories featuring Uncle $crooge and Donald Duck, Don’s work and detailed style is well known and recognized all over the world.

 

Todd Nauck, comic artist currently working on Nightcrawler, is going to be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Todd has worked with major publishers including Marvel, DC, and Image Comics. Some titles he’s known for are Invincible Universe, Guarding the Globe,Amazing Spider-Man, Teen Titans Go, and countless others.

 

Comic artist and creator Marat Mychaels is returning to Phoenix Comicon 2015! Marat is well known for his work on many titles includingDemonslayer, Youngblood, Blindside,Notti & Nyce, Grimm Fairy Tales, Joy and Pain, and many more.

 

Please welcome comic artist and creator Darick Robertson to Phoenix Comicon 2015! Appearing courtesy of the Hero Initiative, Darick is the artist and co-creator of Transmetropolitan,The Boys, Happy!, Ballistic andOLIVER.

 

Comic artist Jacen Burrows will be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Some of Jacen’s most recent titles include God is Dead, Crossed: Badlands, and Night of the Living Dead: Aftermath. He’s also known for his work on Caligula,Robocop: Killing Machine, Yuggoth Creatures and more.

 

Please welcome comic artist and publisher Adam Yeater to Phoenix Comicon 2015! Creator of the underground comic book One Last Day, Adam also creates “cute monster” paintings, prints, custom toys, and many other items related to this ongoing series.

 

Joining us at Phoenix Comicon 2015 is comic artist Kris Anka! Known for his work with Marvel Comics, Kris has worked on titles including Ms. Marvel,Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine, and All New X-Factor.

 

Returning to Phoenix Comicon 2015 is comic book writer and letterer John Layman! Currently writing the comic series Chew, Layman started writing comics full-time in 2002, mainly for Marvel. He’s also been an editor for the DC Comics branch Wildstorm.

 

Armand Villavert, comic book illustrator known for working with Tokyopop and Boom! Kids, will be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Titles Armand has worked on include Zapt!, Muppet Robin Hood, Scratch9, andGladstone’s School for World Conquerors.

 

Phoenix Comicon welcomes comic artist and creator Beth Sotelo! Beth has worked as a colorist for Top Cow Productions, Marvel, DC, and Aspen Comics. Some titles she’s worked on include New X-Men, Wolverine,Brightest Day, Supergirl, and Soulfire. Currently, Beth is writing and drawing her creator-owned book titled Grumpwhich was successfully funded through Kickstarter.

 

Comic artist Joel Gomez is going to be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Recently, Joel has been working on the final chapter of the successfully funded Kickstarter OGN Jason Coffee’s Warhawks, and art on the Fireflytrading card game. Joel has worked with Top Cow, Aspen Comics, DC, Marvel, Wildstorm, and many more. Joel also just completed work on The World According to The Joker and The World According to Batman for Insight Editions/DC Entertainment.

 

Beatriz and Ernest Romero will be at Phoenix Comicon 2015! Together they run Romero Entertainment – a Tucson based comic book company. Ernest Romero has worked for BlueWater Productions, SpazDog Press, Mermaid Press, and the Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona. He self publishes the comic book series, Breed, The Soft Machine, and Silver. Beatriz Romero has worked for SpazDog Press and the Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona.
