There’s a new Unofficial Day at Disneyland and it packs a punch. Sunday May 3rd was Super Hero day at Disneyland. Attendees were invited to dress in outfits inspired by their favorite super heroes or villains. Photo meet-ups took place through out the day and culminated with a meeting at Trader Sams at the Disneyland Hotel.
Dressing in costumes is not allowed for anyone over 10 years old at the resort so participants had to get creative with their outfits. While some just wore a shirt with their favorite hero, others found creative ways of representing their character through Disneybound. Disneybounding is a version of closet cosplay, where a person will dress in casual clothes that match the same color scheme as a character. Megan Kennedy and I attended as Thor and Loki inspired outfits, while her husband, Marcus, embraced his more patriotic side as Captain America. It was pretty awesome to see what other inspired outfits people came up with.
