Bats Day In The Fun Park is a yearly event where thousands of goths visit the Disneyland resort. This year Bats Day celebrations include a costumed ball at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim on Friday, May 29th. Themed after The Haunted Mansion, the Bats Day Happy Haunts Swinging Wake. This should be a great event and mansion/ghost themed costumes are required. A separate ticket is required for this event and is available on the Bats Day website.
On Saturday, May 30th there is the return of the Bats Day Black Market at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim. Over 75 vendors will be available to help you find the spookiest additions to your regular ensemble. Admission is free, but for only $5 you will be admitted an hour early to snatch up all the best items before general admission. Also on Saturday will be Gallery 999, a art show featuring works inspired by the Haunted Mansion with a meet and greets with the artists.
Last but not least is Sunday, May 31st: A spooky trip to the park itself. There are several group photo and meet-up opportunities that day, visit the Bats Day website for more details. I will also be there covering the event for FangirlNation, so expect lots of great photos after the event.
Bats Day has grown from a small group of 80 people in 1999 to over 7000 participants in 2014. This year, they hope to shatter that record and have the biggest Bats Day yet.
