Sir Christopher Lee was not just an actor, he was a Titan of the Horror genre. On Sunday evening, he passed away at a London hospital where he was being treated for respiratory problems and heart failure.  He was 93.

Sir Christopher Lee is best known for his role in the 1958 Hammer Horror adaptation of Dracula, and would go on to be a frightening figure in many more of their Horror Classics. He was a Bond Villain, a Star Wars villain and Saruman in the Lord of the Rings films. In short, if you needed a villain with elegance and menace, Sir Christopher Lee was your guy. He was in several Tim Burton movies and produced more than one Metal album, because that’s the kind of awesome guy he was. Even at 93, he was still working. According to the New York Daily News, Sir Christopher Lee was set to start filming The 11th with Uma Thurman this November.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Brigit, and their daughter Christina during this time of loss.

Sir Christopher Lee, you will most definitely be missed.
