If you visit the AZ Game On Expo website their very first statement pretty much sums up the excitement surrounding this event: Are You Ready For An Epic Adventure? This event knows how to stick to it’s theme in style by luring fans in with free play arcade games, free play console games, table top gaming and game related cosplay. With sponsors like Hyperkin, GameWorks, Dave & Busters and EndGame this event is sure to please the video game enthusiast! Their programming area boasts Pokemon, Nintendo, New and Retro console tournaments with eye popping prizes. Ok, let me just say this: IT’S A VIDEO GAME CONVENTION!!!! I am SO excited that the coordinators of this INCREDIBLE event have provided FanGirl Nation with an opportunity to explore their budding event.

If you are not very big on playing games in public (maybe you’re a noob or maybe, like myself, you prefer quiet when playing games) do not fret! There is still PLENTY for you to do at this expo. Current guests include Mark Soderwall, Keith Robinson, Rob McCallum, Brenda Huff, Pat “The NES Punk” Contri, The Game Chasers and many, many more console, table top and rpg focused celebrities! Each guest will be present in the vendor hall throughout the weekend and some even have Q&A panels available for the bravest of souls to ask them about their endeavors. If you want to know more about the panels for this event check out their menu HERE.

Not much of a panel, public gaming or guest person? Looking to sate that hankering for retro video games or perhaps you are on the hunt for a console grab bag? Then head on over to the expo’s vendor hall. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday: the hall has a plethora of game enthusiasts ready to sell their game themed wares. This is also your chance to check out the local cosplay scene and take pictures with some of your favorite game characters come to life! Should you find you enjoy the Cosplay scene and want more be sure to drop in on the Cosplay Contest which I hear is tentatively scheduled on Saturday evening.

For more information on this event and to purchase tickets check out AZ Game On Expo.

See you there!
