“Burnt”: Impossible Dreams, Food, and Love

Share

Burnt follows the dreams of a would-be super-chef, a man who burst onto the restaurant scene and then burned out. He still wants to cook great food in a great restaurant.

So he’s starting again, with plenty of enemies waiting to watch him fail. He’s also falling in love.

The trailer looks promising, with plenty of charisma from the star and enticing scenes of good food and good cookery. The romance looks like a good, old-fashioned, sweet sort, one that will warm the heart rather than making one wonder why these two people ever spend any time at all with each other.

Burnt opens in theaters October 23, 2015

Burnt Synopsis:

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
