The third annual Long Beach Folk Revival Festival is coming soon to Rainbow Lagoon Park. On Saturday, September 19, 2015, people will gather to celebrate all things Long Beach. There will be live music and a gathering of local artisinal food and craft beer makers.
Come hungry and leave sated. Chef Paul of Primal Alchemy will be offering “his BBQ chicken chili with sweet corn pudding, grilled corn salsa and cumin cream fresca, the country sausage, corn bread and red eye gravy burrito, fresh corn on the cob with parmesan garlic butter or an over easy farm egg on kale salad with sweet corn pudding and salsa quemada.” If that doesn’t satisfy, festival goers can turn to Sweet Loe’s BBQ for pork spare ribs and BBQ pulled pork nachos. The Canvas Truck will be serving grass-fed beef, organic produce, and fresh-baked bread. LuckDish Curry, Speedy Mobile Hot Dogs, Red Leprechaun, Propers Pickles, and Long Beach Jerky Co will also be on hand. For desert, folks can turn to the Pie Bar for pies made from scratch in mini-mason jars.
Guests can wash down their meal with Rose Park Roasters coffee, or they can turn to craft beers. Stone Go To IPA, Stone Delicious IPA, Pizza Port Chronic Amber Ale, Saint Archer White, and Smog City Little Bo Pils will be on tap, and VIP ticket holders can try the Boubon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard Ale or choose from the craft cocktail menu courtesy of The Stache Bar.
The festival also offers signature contests, the Wee Folk Village, and shopping at the “Vintage Bazaar.”
Tickets are now on-sale for $20 online at http://www.FolkRevivalFestival.com. Tickets will be available day of the festival for $30. Admission is free for kids under 12 and seniors over 75. Complimentary bike valet is available.
