Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into beautiful shapes and forms. Combined with DC super heroes, it’s a crafty and inexpensive way to show your fandom. Capstone Young Readers is releasing DC Super Heroes Origami: 46 Folding Projects for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and More!, but don’t think it’s just for kids. The pages include detailed and easy to follow instructions of how to fold Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Superman and a whole wealth of famous Batman characters.
Don’t worry villain fans; DC Super Heroes Origami includes them as well. Clayface is there, as well as tutorials on how to make the Riddler’s question mark cane and the Penguin’s umbrella, among many others.
DC Super Heroes Origami includes tearaway specialty pages in the back of the book for the chief superheroes, such as Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman. I do worry that after the initial folding there aren’t very many chances to remake your favorite super heroes. If you’re not fantastic with origami, your best bet might be to practice on other paper before using the special pages in the back.
DC Super Heroes Origami: 46 Folding Projects for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and More!is available September 1, 2015 from Capstone Young Readers, just in time to take away the sting of going back to school.
