You’d Better Watch Out! Krampus is Coming to Town!

Krampus Poster“Oh you’d better watch out, you’d better not shout! You’d better not cry, I’m telling you why, Santa Claus is com-ing to town!”

We can make the jolly old elf sound pretty creepy in his own (“He sees you when you’re sleeping/He knows when you’re awake”), and Krampus is the Santa of your worst nightmares.

Forget coal in your stocking, this guy is serious. In German legends, he stomps around carrying sticks with which to whip naughty children and a sack to carry them straight down to the underworld. Not someone you want to invite to your Christmas party. Unfortunately for him, young Max (Emjay Anthony) manages to do just that in the upcoming comedy horror Krampus. Anyone in the mood for some unusual Christmas celebrations can find them in the Universal Studios film in theaters December 4, 2015.

Krampus Synopsis

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers.

All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

Written and directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ’r Treat), Krampus is co-written by Zach Shields and Todd Casey and produced by Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni, Alex Garcia and Dougherty. The film will be released by Universal Pictures. www.krampusthefilm.com
