‘Born to Be Awkward’ Will Put Your Baby Pictures to Shame

9780804140737Have you ever gone through old baby photos with someone who didn’t know the backstories of your childhood? Some of those candid snapshots taken by your parents can come back to haunt you. In the new book Born to Be Awkward, Mike Bender and Doug Chernack have collected some of the most awkward baby photos outside of an Instagram Throwback Thursday.  You’ve likely heard of their former project, Awkward Family Photos.

With categories featuring such beauties as small babies extending their middle fingers and children crying over Santa Claus,Born to Be Awkward had me laughing to the point of grabbing another copy with plans to send it to my pregnant sister with a note that says “aim higher than this.”  For those folks with children, the book is a hilarious reminder of the faces children make before they are able to control their visible emotions. To people without children, the book is a look back at pictures we should thank our parents for never sharing with our past dates.

If you liked Awkward Family Photos or just want to thank your parents for not taking these pictures, you should grab your copy of Born to Be Awkward today.
