Alamo Drafthouse and Firestone Walker Brewery Create Special ‘Crimson Peak’ Beer for October

I’m not normally a beer drinker, but I’ve got to make an exception in this case. Austin based movie theater chain and Paso Robles, CA based Firestone Walker Brewery have joined forces to create a beer for the new film Crimson Peak. Served in a specialty glass by the Mondo group, this beer will be available during the month of October at Alamo Drafthouse locations to celebrate the film. The beer features the unique ingredient of hibiscus flowers for both a slightly sweeter taste and a deep red color.

“Guillermo del Toro is one of the most imaginative filmmakers working today, and the release of the gothic romance CRIMSON PEAK is definitely cause for celebration,” said Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO Tim League. “Firestone Walker is one of the best breweries in the nation. So we jumped at the chance to collaborate on a beer to mark this occasion with something special.”

The Guillermo del Toro’s gothic romantic film, Crimson Peak, opens October 16th nationwide.
