It’s that time of year again! Our last venture to Tucson Comic-con provoked a mixed review. On one hand, I had a fantastic time interacting with the attendees and visiting the vendor hall while on the other hand a lack of seating and reduced panel programming created lulls in the days that led to intense boredom. Not one to let a single bad experience deter me, I decided to give TCC a second chance. After all, last year the convention struggled with working around their venue’s construction…construction that promised to enhance the experience of 2015’s event. I must say…Tucson Comic-Con 2015 appears to be delivering on its promise.
With almost 5X the programming from 2014, Tucson Comic-Con 2015 is already off to a great start! They have panels all day Saturday and Sunday hosted in multiple, newly constructed panel rooms (last year TCC only boasted 2 panel rooms so this is quite the improvement). Their programming also spans everything from Cosplay workshops, Cosplay discussions, gaming discussions, guest interactions, comic art previews and much, much more! There is even an entire level of the convention center dedicated to gaming!
If you’re not impressed with the convention’s improvements thus far just check out how much more seating they have this year! The organizers have also promised an improved line and access control system for attendees who still have not picked up or purchased their badges. Indeed it seems that Tucson Comic-Con is gearing up for a prime event!
Want to do some shopping? The exhibitor/vendor hall is immense!
If you plan on attending this event be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Sam will be there taking photos and video of the event; if you see her feel free to say hi and she’ll take your picture (she’ll have an FGN media pass pinned to her camera bag). We hope to see you there! Convention on fan girls!
