Who Doesn’t Want Soap on a Rope Walker Ears? The February Loot Crate Dead Collection And Level Up of 2016

February Loot Crate Unboxed

T-Shirt, figure, Soap…

Nothing like a few macabre geeky items to brighten up a Saturday! The February Loot Crate came to my door this afternoon, and happy unwrapping occurred. This month’s crate featured items from Deadpool, and The Walking Dead. There was a Deadpool figure, a Deadpool Tacos?! T-shirt, a mystery Walking Dead figure, a Loot Crate Pin featuring a zombified crate out in search of victims (Does this make anyone else think of The Luggage? Please say yes!), and, best of all, a Walker-Ear necklace/soap on a rope collection. Of course there is. Also included is a handy-dandy booklet with tips for surviving the zombie apocalypse, interviews, and a taco recipe.

The booklet is worth reading–the zombie survival tips are funny, there’s an interview with Rahul Kohl (Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on iZombie), and some quizzes. Deadpool’s Taco recipe isn’t that unusual, but the side comments are worth it. And the Deadpool T-Shirt is great for sitting around reading things like Loot Crate booklets or eating tacos in.

The Level Up additions included a lovely (?) Silence of the Lambs T-shirt, a long-sleeved Walking Dead shirt, Deadpool socks, and glow-in-the-dark Dark Mark Harry Potter socks, as well as some blood-drenched nail-art from Espionage Cosmetics and a Walking Dead Cherokee Rose locket.

I’m trying to figure out when and where someone could go into a dark room just after the Dark Mark socks have been in the light for maximum impact. The Deadpool socks are better for daytime wear. Would the Silence of the Lambs T-shirt be a conversation starter or stopper? Which do you think? Would coupling it with the bloody nail art from Espionage Cosmetics be going overboard?

The metal hook needed for fastening the Cherokee Rose locket to its chain fell off and disappeared right after I opened the envelope up; I’m going to have to do a little jury-rigging on that. Shouldn’t be too hard.

And that’s the lot this month!

What do you think of the Dead Collection? Got anything you’d like to see in future collections? Comment & let us know!
