If you enjoyed the 70s-style horror romp that was James Wan’s The Conjuring, this summer delivers a new sequel. Somehow ghosts are just more believable if you go back a few decades, as evidenced by this trailer for The Conjuring 2.
I loved the mysterious noises and inadvisable childhood games of the original, probably the first and last time I’ll ever scream in terror at two hands clapping. The phantoms in this one seem to be more corporeal and directly confrontational, which could be fun – for us, not for long-suffering spirit investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren. The Conjuring 2 will arrive in theaters on June 10th 2016.
