Blade Runner PosterIt is a little hard to wrap my mind around the fact that there will be a Blade Runner sequel. What did the original Blade Runner leave unsaid? Or rather, what questions did Blade Runner leave unanswered that viewers want answered?

At the same time, it is reassuring to know that Harrison Ford will be reprising his role as Rick Deckard. The latest news is that Dave Bautista will be joining Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford and Robin Wright in the film in “an important supporting role.” Nothing vague about that, is there?

The Blade Runner sequel is set several decades after the original film , which is based–loosely–on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. The new script is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. Cynthia Sikes Yorkin will be producing along with Johnson and Kosove. Other than that, details are sparse on the ground, leaving everything wide open to speculation.

What would you like to see in the sequel? Are there questions you want answered?
