Angel isn’t out of the comic book game just yet. Dark Horse press has announced they’ve “re-vamped” the creative team to create Angel Season 11. The chosen ones for this team are writer Corinna Bechko, artist Geraldo Borges, and colorist Michelle Madsen.
In this season, Angel is being tormented by his bloody past. His visions may remind him of his past, but the are also warning about the next Big Bad in his future. Angel’s goddess friend, Illyria, intervenes as Angel discovers he might be able to change the future by traveling back in time.
Corinna Bechko is excited to be part of the Whedonverse : “
I’m thrilled that I’ll be helping to add to a little corner of the Whedonverse, a rich and exciting place that contains infinite possibilities for exploration. Of course, the fact that I’ll be doing so with Angel, one of the most complex and interesting characters, means I have big shoes to fill. But I can’t wait to spend some quality time with him during this journey, and to have a bit of fun along the way!”
The first issue of Angel Season 11 goes on sale the day before Buffy’s Birthday. Look for it on shelves January 18, 2017.
