The September 2016 Loot Crate Level Up envelope is fun, but not outstanding–partly because two of the items come from the same franchise, and if you’re talking five items, then two from a franchise is a high proportion. If someone really loves the Transformers, the shirt plus sleeping shorts will make them very happy. Anyone who is indifferent to the Transformers will find the combination less enthralling.
The Transformers jersey is a nice one–sturdily made and the logo is prominent and well-designed. It is one of the items that will be a good conversation starter–for people who like the characters–and I know there are a lot of very cheerful, enthusiastic supporters out there.
The other Transformers item is the Loot For Her item, a pair of shorts with a very pink transformer down in the corner. That’s really all to say about them–either you like sleeping in shorts and enjoy Transformers, or you don’t. The fabric is pretty thin, so I don’t think they’ll last past a year at most.
The second T-shirt in here is a Mario Kart shirt, in black, with a Victory logo on the front in blue and white. IT shows up well, so again, it’ll be good for conversation. The fabric is the thinner T-shirt type, so it’s another one that you’ll enjoy for a time and then cut up for crafts. Still, I figure it will be up to several months or maybe a year (depending on how often), which is pretty decent.
Last but far from least are the socks. This time, they’re a pair of Sonic the Hedgehog socks and a pair of Deadpool socks. The staring eyes on the Deadpool socks are quite a good touch, though I’m not sure where the “speed” part comes in. Fast-talking, I suppose.
Once again, there is no jewelry and no accessories, which is too bad. The necklaces, hair ties, and bracelets have been the best part of the different envelopes.
