With all the buzz and excitement around Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical, Hamilton, it would only stand to reason that a new generation would be delighted to learn about one of the United States of America’s Founding Fathers. In the new book by Jeff Wilser, Alexander Hamilton’s Guide to Life, readers are treated to a book that is part biography and part self-help book.
Wisler goes through major aspects of life and relates them to how Hamilton got through life. This covers everything from acting like you are in charge, even when you aren’t. If you’re looking for a biography of Alexander Hamilton that isn’t cut and dry, this book is a great look. One of my particular favorite chapters focused on the loyalty, strength, and intelligence of Elizabeth Hamilton, his wife.
Whether you’re in the market for some good advice or wanting to read up on Hamilton after loving the musical, Alexander Hamilton’s Guide to Life is a great one to add to your reading list.
I have this one on my tbr pile, I need to move it to the top. Seems great. I am reading a self help type book right now though, but it could still work. I am currently reading The Problem Solver by Tom Gehring. tomgehring.com is his site for his info. It’s been just what I needed to get me out of my funk.
