You’ve all seen it, if not been affected by, online harassment. While many of us didn’t have all of our documents Doxed to the world during GamerGate, so many of us have had cruel words thrown at us, or received death and rape threats, even to our private emails and Facebook accounts. Jason Latour and Jason Aaron are doing what they can to combat it. Issue #16 of their comic Southern Bastards will offer a special variant cover, with proceeds going to benefit the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Centers.

This special “DON’T BE A BASTARD” charity variant cover by series co-creator Latour is part of the ongoing “Roberta Tubb” variant series, showcasing SOUTHERN BASTARDS’ protagonist Roberta Tubb, interpreted by some of comics’ brightest artistic talents.

Latour and Aaron are no strangers to benefit variants. Issue #10 featured a variant cover that raised $18,000 for the victims of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.

SOUTHERN BASTARDS #16 Cover B “Don’t Be a Bastard” by Latour will be available on Wednesday, January 11th.
