The upcoming new show that was on everyone’s WonderCon badges and displayed proudly along the glass of the Anaheim Convention Center was Midnight, Texas.
Although the premiere date is set for July 24, 2017 on NBC, a packed room of about 2,000 attendees were able to attend the screening of the first episode. And the overall reaction was pretty positive.
Midnight. Texas is based off the series by Charlaine Harris ( known for the Tru Blood series). Harris doesn’t stray too far from the supernatural story path but instead situates them in a small town called Midnight. In this small town, psychics with the ability to see ghosts, witches, vampires, and assassins are able to find a place to somewhat call home. Yet even in this small desert town, secrets boiling close to the surface threaten the integrity of the town’s secret and well being.
As another special treat, Fangirl Nation was able to sit down in a roundtable discussion with the cast and crew. It was hour of getting to know the cast and seeing the eerie way these actors were the characters from the book. Each pairing was a reflection of the relationships in the show and the chemistry between them all is phenomenal. What was even more thrilling and phenomenal was Parisa Fitz-Henley as Fiji!
After conducting the interviews, there was is definitely a lot anticipation and excitement for the upcoming series!
Look forward to the premiere on July 24, 2017 on NBC.
