Phoenix Comicon – Revving Up for Success

Phoenix Comicon 2017 is EXACTLY THREE WEEKS away and preparations are underway for what is predicted to be THE kick to the U.S.A comic convention summer season! Phoenix Comicon, or PHXCC for short, is celebrating its 15th year and has definitely increased expectations with its: guests, programming and events. Sam, our cosplay savant, will attend this event ALL FOUR days (camera in tow) and will share her “outfit of the day” on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds so you can find her with ease (she likes to meet new people so FIND HER). ANYWAYS…about PHXCC, it’s:

  • Located in Phoenix, Arizona and held at the Phoenix Convention Center.
  • It takes place over Memorial Day weekend (May 25th – 28th) and has long programming hours.
  • PHXCC spans two convention center buildings (each three stories tall), closes two streets (for events, food trucks and car shows), involves 3 hotels, has partnered with SEVEN hotels and offers a wide variety of geek/nerd programming.

So WHO is attending PHXCC? Celebrities from T.V., Cinema, Comics and Cosplay of course! You’ll see names like…

  • Dick Van Dyke
  • Jenna Coleman
  • Danny Trejo
  • Neal McDonough
  • Elden Henson
  • Garrett Wang
  • Joan Cusack
  • Ming-Na Wen
  • Alan Tudyk
  • Bonnie Wright
  • Billy Tucci
  • Marat Mychaels
  • Maise Designs
  • and MUCH, MUCH MORE!

If you are not a big guest person you could always visit the Exhibitor hall. With hundreds of vendors this hall spans the ENTIRE basement of the North and West Convention Center Buildings. It’s open…

  • Thursday 4PM – 9PM
  • Friday 10AM – 7PM
  • Saturday 10AM – 7PM
  • Sunday 10AM – 5PM

But what is a convention without its cosplayers, right?! PHXCC has an entire floor dedicated to costuming groups on the third floor of the North Building. Here are a few photos from past Phoenix Comicon events to get your mind in a tizzy…

We could literally go on for days about this convention but why listen to us prattle on when YOU could attend the event? Visit for event information and to purchase your membership badge. A Full Event badge is $75 and rumor has it they may sell out this year. Individual day badges are available as well along with special badges for mobility and children. We hope to see you there!
