Valiant Comics has built a wonderful, big universe for comics’ fans to explore. It has a coherent history, is full of fascinating and sometimes alarming characters like Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, and Livewire as well as the effervescent hero, Faith. It’s a saga fans will be glad to join, but, though the Valiant history is nowhere near as convoluted and insane as the Marvel or DC constructs, it can still be hard to know where to begin, so Valiant is holding a door open for newcomers: Divinity 0 will provide a way in for new readers while following up on the Stalinverse for those already familiar with the tale.
Divinity, a lost Russian cosmonaut newly arrived to Earth with god-like powers, has successfully restored the world to order after the reality-altering event known as the Stalinverse. But how can a man – even one with near-divine abilities – know for certain that the planet has been truly restored in full? To make sure, Divinity must bear witness to the world as it now stands – heroes, villains, gods, and all – to ensure the rightful order of the Valiant Universe!
And all of this traveling will not only reacquaint him with the status quo, it will let everyone catch up on the way. The book comes out August 16th and is written by Matt Kindt with art by Renato Guedes.
