Rent Gets Creative in ‘The Human Telegraphs’

If you and all your roommates suddenly found yourselves unemployed, how would you make rent? For three girls living in New York, they turn to becoming human telegraphs in the online series of the same name. In a world where text messaging is more common than a phone call, this group of women give a personal touch to some hard messages. Sometimes funny, sometimes daunting, and sometimes all out heartbreaking, the messages get delivered for a fee.

With one out of work actress, one woman who has recently lost her temp gig, and one who has lost her royalty checks, rent is gonna be late if it shows up at all. A business decision is made to help bridge the gap by rent day. The three will pass on messages, verbatim, in which ever style the sender chooses.  For some recipients its an awkward gift, for some the heart breaking news that their loved ones have left. But what happens when the message is delivered to the wrong person?
