LAIKA coming to PRIDE Festival and San Diego Comic Con 2017


San Diego Comic Con 2017 is next week and there is just so much to see and do!

Fangirl Nation will strive to highlight the  events that should really be on your radar. Especially if your a LAIKA fan.

If you loved CoralineParaNormanThe Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings,  whether or not you have a badge, head over to  LAIKA pop up exhibit!

What you can look forward to:

  • Sets, muppets, monsters, props from all LAIKA films
  • LAIKA merchandise for purchase
  • Daily drawings for customized Nike shoes for LAIKA
  • Photo Ops with LAIKA costumed characters

·        Thursday, July 20: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

LAIKA is planning even more events, some before SDCC 2017!

  • Before SDCC2017, LAIKA will also be appearing during the PRIDE Festival:

Time: 11 am- 6pm

Look for costumed characters inside the gates of Balboa Park. You can pose with “Mitch” from Paranormal- the first gay character featured in an animated film. Collect your headband while you’re there!

  • Facebook Live/WIRED magazine w/ Travis Knight 

Date: July 21

Time: 2- 2pm

Can’t physically make it? Travis Knight (President/CEO/ Director of Kubo and the Two Strings) will be Tony Dirterlizzi (The Spiderwick Chronicles/ Star Wars: Luke Skywalker/ Jedi Knight) will be doing a Facebook live tour. You can ask questions at:

Time: 3 pm

Location: Pop Up Exhibit @ 5th Ave in San Diego

If you are going to be physically there, try your chance to meet Travis Knight at an autograph session. Autographs are on a first come, first served basis. This is  Travis Knight’s only public appearance during the exhibit.
