Monster High has always been on my list to check out. I love the dolls when I see them in stores, but I just never got around to seeing what the show was all about. However, finally when I was making my list of Halloween movies to review, I stumbled across one of their newest movies, Monster High: Haunted. I loved this movie so much, I ended up watching the rest of their collection that night.
While the other writers watch super scary shows about being eaten by zombies, demons, ghosts, or anything else that goes bump in the night. The nanny in me, wants to find the kid friendly movies for this Halloween. That is why I am putting Monster High: Haunted straight into my nanny kit this month. The movie and the overall characters are refreshing and charming. Not only does the style of their fashion and hair, make me super jealous. But I am a sucker for any plot that involves a strong meaning of friendship.
I am also a complete sucker for amazing names that co-exist with every day legends and stories. River Styxx, daughter of the Grim Reaper, is by far one of my favorite characters. Not only did she have PARTY CANONS on her father’s boat, but she also loves sweets. Her personality shined through the episode, leaving me wanting to know more and more about her. Also, just check out her awesome style and hair! Totally added this awesome character to my ever growing Cosplay List.
Monster High: Haunted not only had me captivated, but the eight year old girl I was with that night had me repeat it four times. AND I LOVED IT EACH TIME! In the world where even kid shows get a little iffy at times, Monster High: Haunted is all the way wholesome family entertainment. Grab the dvd now at any stores and treat your kids to a halloweentastic movie filled with Ghosts and Monsters this season.
