The woods, or perhaps something in the woods, is watching as an innocent group sets out for a night’s camping. The trailer for The Woods, directed by Adam Wingard (Home Sick, Pop Skull reveals little of the movie’s premise, only that there trees, young people, and shaky cam involved.
Adding a spooky rendition of “Every Move You Make” is semi-effective: The song is inherently creepy, so altering it doesn’t give the same effect as, say, re-imagining “I’ve Got No Strings” as a villain’s song. On the other hand: The song is creepy.
