The August 2016 Loot Crate Level Up theme is Anti-Hero, and Harley Quinn gets to hold two of the five items, so let’s hear it for her looniness!
First up is this flamboyant, bi-colored miniskirt. It’s designed with Harley’s extraordinarily slim figure in mind, so I’m not sure how many actual people will want to wear it.
Then there are the Level Up socks. These tend to be amusing, and in this case, it’s fun to picture the pair of anti-heroes in question meeting and possibly having to team up: Harley Quinn and the Punisher. One with too much sense of humor the other with none.
Either pair of socks would, potentially, go with the miniskirt, depending on what the wearer’s feelings on mixing universes is.
And there’s a snazzy Sterling Archer PI T-shirt, showing him posed in a standard hard-boiled P.I. stance against a tropical evening sky. The decal on the one in my envelope is already starting to rub off, which is not promising. At the moment, it gives the effect of an old, lo-rez image, but it won’t take much before it’s just plain ragged looking. This is a pity!
The World of Warcraft t-shirt features a rather formidable-looking Sylvanas Windrunner. The fabric is soft and comfortable, but also thin. The shirt does get points for being something other than grey, though, and for being well printed.
And the elf is someone you will not ever want to mess with!
As with last month’s Level Up, there is no geeky jewelry, which is a pity. The Level-up is also unusually close to the Loot Box in contents, so purchasers who get both will be getting overlapping franchise items. For the love of Harley Quinn, this is good, but for those indifferent to the lovely lady, or to Archer, it’s going to be a disappointing happening.

This box gets points because Harley Quinn is awesome, but loses some because the T-shirts are, in their different ways, fragile.
