Today Pixar and Disney announced their initial casting for their upcoming film, Onward. Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer have been named for the film. The film will be produced by Kori Rae and directed by Dan Scanlon, the team behind Monsters University.
Though not much has been released about the plot of the film, Disney did release this much:
Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney•Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. “At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth,” said Scanlon. “This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother.”
