Written by Aleksandra Motyka with art by Marianna Strychowska, The Witcher: Of Flesh and Flame brings Geralt to the forefront of a growing threat…ok, is Geralt ever NOT in the middle of trouble? Join Dark Horse as they revel in this adaptation by Travis Currit of a new Witcher story.
Geralt enters Novigrad, a rather average medieval town with rather average people. After a scuffle with a raucous local he is greeted by an old friend. This friend has a problem: someone or SOMETHING is sneaking into his daughter’s tower at night. She shows unusual signs that he is not certain can be attributed to love. The Van Schagen residence is certainly a marvel and it does prove to Geralt that whomever is “wooing” his friend’s daughter may not be unearthly. Alas, as with all things Geralt pursues, the “Creature” visiting his friend’s daughter was no more dangerous than he was charming. Unfortunately, the magical object that allowed him to alit on the Van Schagen tower was a different matter entirely. A trunk, unassuming and common, turns out to be part of a summoning to an Ofieri tower. What is it with Bards and their inexplicable ability to find danger around every corner? Geralt is in for an adventure, that’s for sure.
