Whatever your feelings on the recent movie of the same name, Hellboy: The Board Game is now available. Mantic Games has parterned with Dark Horse comics to release the game after a successful Kickstarter that raised over $2 million.Hellboy: The Game is inspired by Mike Mignolia’s creation. The co-op game experience faces Hellboy against his foes. Up to four people can play, taking on the roles of Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, and Johaan Kraus. You explore gothic locations, ancient artifacts and battle the agents of chaos. Mike Mignolia worked with Mantic Games to help keep the design of the plastic minatures where they need to me.
“Hellboy has a great cast of characters, diverse locations and legendary monsters from the pages of folklore and myth,” said Ronnie Renton, Mantic CEO. “The comics provide a fantastic foundation on which to build an immersive, fun and fast-paced co-operative board game that will let players experience some of their favorite moments from the series.”
