Malice Domestic 31 has arrived! Last night I checked into the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center and was joined shortly after by my aunt Anne Gewe, who is attending the convention with me. After I checked in and started to head to our room, the first person I saw was the author who has meant the most to my life personally, the guest of honor, Donna Andrews. Taking courage, I approached Andrews and told her just how much her books have meant to me during my fight with chronic migraine. So even before it began, I had my first big fangirl moment of the convention!
Tomorrow I particularly am eager to attend the Malice Go Round: It’s like Speed Dating, But with Authors, where I’ll get to meet numerous authors I’ve appreciated over the years. The other sessions I look forward to attending are ones with the nominees of the Agatha Awards, for which I will get to vote before the awards banquet Saturday night.
So stay tuned for more coverage of my first ever fan convention of any kind!
