Tonight the top writers and readers in the traditional mystery world joined together to honor the best writing in the field in the form of the Agatha Awards.
The awards are given in six categories and voted on by the several hundred attendees of the Malice Domestic convention. There were some gasps in the audience when the prizes were awarded, especially when the announcer told us that for the first time in the history of the 31 years of Malice Domestic, they had a tie for one of the categories. Then, there were double gasps when we learned that this happened two different times this year!
