Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Sirens is a new series from Archaia. Using the premise of the old Jim Henson’s The Storyteller TV show, the series follows a gentleman known as the Storyteller and his dog as he tells fantastic tales and fable. This new series focuses loosely on the concept of the siren. In the first issue of the series, a mermaid was followed. In issue #2 the story features a Chinese snakelike goddess, Nuwa, as she creates and then repairs the world and mankind.
The story and gorgeous artwork are completed by Chan Chau, and it is difficult not to be swept up in both the story and the gorgeous art reminiscent of watercolors and traditional Chinese artwork.
