There was so much to experience at Wondercon that there are still more that must be shared.
A noted premiere on the Fangirl Nation radar was the upcoming AMC series, NOS4A2 premiering on June 1, 2019. The series is based off of the novel by Joe Hill where he presents a different perspective of vampires.
Vic McQueen ( played by Ashleigh Cummings) is a the living on the wrong side of the tracks kind of character. Somehow in the midst of her every day life struggles, she discovers that she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. An ability that Charlie Max (played by Zachary Quinto) is not too thrilled about as he kidnaps children to feed off their souls and then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law.
Jami O’Brien (Fear the Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels) serces as the showrunner for this upcoming horror/ thriller series. Additional cast includes Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen and Jahkara Smith(aka Sailor J) as Maggie Leigh. Yes, the same Sailor J of those hilarious makeup tutorial videos.
AMC seems to really want to encourage the mystery and allure of this show as video interviews were not allowed to most of the press. Instead, we were granted access to a press conference where the cast and crew answered questions from all of the press on audio. You can play and listen to the audio below.
One thing is for sure, I am definitely curious enough to read the book before the show!
