The loss of Peter Mayhew hit our fandom community hard. Mayhew was best known for his portrayal as Chewbacca in the Star Wars movies, but he was also known for his incredible heart and his joyful treatment of fans. The Peter Mayhew Foundation was initially created to help with Star Wars based charities, but has grown to help multiple organizations. The main goal is to help those who are suffering from disease or traumatic events and is there for both children and adults in need.
Though Peter may be gone, his wife Angie still keeps the charity running.
