Wild Eye Releasing has done it again with their most inscrutable title yet, Clownado. Todd Sheets’ latest feature (Bonehill Road, Dreaming Purple Neon,) has released its trailer and what is sure to be the next blend of Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Sharknado will be sure to leave you stunned. (Is there a blend of Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Sharknado? Will there ever be? This reviewer is quite confident in saying no.)
Coming this summer, Clownado is: “Cursed demonic circus clowns set out on a vengeful massacre using tornadoes. A stripper, Elvis impersonator, truck driver, teen runaway, and a dude get caught in the supernatural battle between femme fatale and the boss clown from hell.” Slated for summer release, the film features horror movie goddess and overall legend Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Silent Night Deadly Night,) along with Eileen Dietz, Rachel Lagen, John O’Hara, and Joel D. Wynkoop. Sheets not only directed but wrote the film.
Although an official date has not been set, be sure that FGN wants to be the first to let you know how this bizarre and trippy journey plays out. Check out the trailer below:
