Fans of the Grindhouse style of film get to ride with Momo: The Missouri Monster. In 1972, the town of Louisiana, Missouri became the epicenter for the sighting of a Bigfoot-like creature that became known as Momo. Two local kids spotted the creature in their backyard holding a dead dog. This film starts with a Monster Hunter and Grindhouse film fan introducing an over-the-top film about Momo, in his attempt to introduce the world to a cult-classic that was never released.
The premise is a little silly and the filming is totally cheesy, but it’s supposed to be that way. Don’t look for a super serious horror movie with this one. Sit back and enjoy the 70s flair, complete with large furry monster costume. I was expecting a documentary from Seth Breedlove, but this turned out to be just as fun.
