Allison Serrano is 14 years-old and a pretty typical kid in Anaheim, California. Well, that is until she accidentally gets nanites stuck in her hands while cat sitting. It turns out, her neighbors are mad scientists! With new found powers, like shooting plasma out of her hands, Allison is quick to try to start fighting crime under the moniker Fizgig. Unfortunately, there are many bad people who want those nanites and aren’t afraid of trying to take them back by force.
Calico Davis, the writer and letterer, tells a fun story that works for pre-teens to adults, but could easily be read by younger readers if they have a strong sense of language. David Moreno’s art is charming, and the excellent ink work from Alex Bermudez and bright color work by Drew Browne all join together for a fun and entertaining read.
