Writer and artist Katie O’Neill, writer of The Tea Dragon Society, has created the new book Dewdrop. This new children’s book features a pink axolotl named Dewdrop who cheers on his friends as they participate in their local pond’s sports fair. While it’s easy for many of the participants to lose site of their talents, Dewdrop is happy to help them find their self-confidence and push on.
Dewdrop is absolutely adorable. The artwork is bright and bubbly, and the story teaches a good lesson about competing with yourself to become the best you can be. It’s a very quick read, so appropriate for bed time.
