TWICE, one of the mega powerhouse K-Pop girl group, will be adding even more of their charm to Youtube with a new episodic series: Seize the Light.
TWICE fans, a.k.a Oncers, will be even more excited to see more official content streaming across a global platform. For those new or curious about TWICE, welcome! This is a group of women who have performed and produced hit after hit of songs due to their hard work, charisma, and unique talents.
In 2015, JYP Entertainment produced a competition based series called Sixteen. JYP Entertainment is the K-Pop corporation megamind of JY Park. JYP is an industry legend himself as he has been a solo artist and performer for decades. Viewers of Conan O’Brien would have recognized JYP in the parody music video, “Fire.” JYP Entertainment has produced successful groups known for clean, stellar dancing with catchy music such as GOT7 and Itzy.
During Sixteen series, viewers came to learn and vote for the contestants. Through the drama and suspense, the winners of the competition emerged as the members of TWICE. From there, the group has continued a steady upward rise of hits, sold out performances. Their debut music was their certified first hit with “Like OOH-AHH” which has now amassed over 350 million vibes. The debut is the most defining foundation for TWICE’s style. The music video features the fashionable idols dancing among zombies. The video is stylized with graphic cuteness, winks of sexy, humor, and loads of charisma. Each member is unique in their own style and smiles but they still come together cohesively as a group. From there, it was the movie reference overald video of “Cheer Up” to the Halloween spooky cuteness of “TT” and more.
Now they will be the first all-female K-pop group to have their own standalone Youtube Original series: “Twice: Seize the Light.” The 8 episodes will feature moments outside of concerts and music videos. Viewers will see highest and lowest moments as they watch this international idol group do their global tour. The series was filmed over their 2019 TWICELIGHTS World Tour and will have interviews with their members and families.
The series will premiere on Wednesday, April 29th (7am PST/11PM KST). New episodes will drop every Wednesday. For YouTube premium members, there will be an all-episode launch on April 29th.
