Disney+ is throwing a lot out there today in honor of May the Fourth, aka Star Wars Day. Here’s what they’ve got going on:
First the whole “Skywalker” Saga is on, so the original, the prequels, and the sequels for your viewing pleasure. You don’t even have to get up to go crack open a Bluray case if you don’t want to.
The Series Finale (tear) of Star Wars: Clone Wars is now up.
Disney+ is premiering Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian today, so you get to see a bunch of behind the scenes stuff on the show, directed by Happy, er Jon Favreau.
“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” is an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on The Mandalorian. Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, behind the scenes footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Jon Favreau. In the first episode “Directing,” the filmmakers speak about their individual journeys on the way to the director’s chair and take us inside the filmmaking process of The Mandalorian. In the second episode “Legacy,” premiering Friday, May 8, the cast and crew gather to reflect on the influence of Star Wars on both their lives and The Mandalorian.
This week the Disney+ homepage is going to carousel original artwork from Star Wars and The Mandalorian across the top. Original concept paintings, just to be extra.
You can even change your avatar to something new:
They’ve even put out the whole timeline so you can watch in order if you’re one of those people:
