Coming to Netflix: Cursed - FangirlNation Magazine

We have seen many retellings of the legend of King Arthur, the boy who pulled the sword from the sword and became King with the guidance of the great Merlin. There were more than one person involved in that journey. Tom Wheeler & Frank Miller created a re-imagination of those voices from the Arthurian Legend with Cursed. The story is focused on Nimue who will later become the powerful and tragic Lady of the lake.

As with most things touched by Frank Miller, Netflix has annouced a series based on this New York Times bestselling book.

Snoypsis: “After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther. Cursed is a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.“

The series will launch Summer of 2020 and will comprise of 10 hour long epsiodes
