This one is a little but like cheating; it’s true crime…buuuuuuttttt its not murder! That’s right, stepped right around the murder true crime podcast this week and went back to scams. Scam Goddess is the weekly podcast for fans fascinated by fraud. While some of the crimes are recent, some are also historical. Host Laci Mosley is joined each week with a special guest, such as Trixie Matel or Paul F. Thompkins. She also reads real life scam stories and tries to help out.
I found Scam Goddess entirely by accident, and I’m so happy I did. With small scams increasing across the board while we are closer to our phones (got a couple scam calls already this week, y’all), The historical cases are fascinating, and even cover things like the recent Fyre Festival fiasco. Mosley’s perspective is fun, bright, and entertaining. Her tone keeps the whole thing moving along swimmingly.
You can check out Scam Goddess on all major platforms, or check them out at their site on its podcast network, Earwolf- earwolf.com/show/scam-goddess/
