As we get closer to the election, Ask a Political Scientist is choosing this week to focus on Misinformation. Ask a Political Scientist is a free Youtube show that live-streams a comedy/informational show designed to be non-partisan and answer questions on hot-topic items.
For this week:
Misinformation – Perhaps one of the most dangerous developments in recent (or perhaps not-so-recent?) politics (and life). But just how bad is it, and what can we do about it? We welcome Adam Berinsky, Ph.D. (MIT), expert on misinformation, rumors, and public opinion, and Kasha Patel, comedian & science communicator (NASA) to discuss where misinformation comes from, what its consequences really are, and how we can address it.You can live-stream the show here: bit.ly/askaps. The show is free; optional donations this week go to a charity (TBA).
