And we’re back again with the latest issue of Edgar Allen Poe’s Snifter of Blood. As I’ve mentioned in the past, this comic has yet to disappoint, and it certainly didn’t start this week. Yesterday’s issue came with two comics, two short stories and one epic poem. Each and every one was tainted with murder and mayhem. It’s amazing!
This issue is filled with the titles; The Tell-Tale Heart, Winston, A Cyborg Walks Into a Bar, Hornswoggled and Tatties on the Moor. The first two are the comics and the latter three are stories.
Even though it wasn’t my favorite, Winston by Tyrone Finch was also a fun read. Nearly everyone can relate to the kind of temper tantrum the titular character throws when things get out of hand. And the art done by Ryan Kelly in that comic just tied it all together.
Of the five my favorite’s were The Tell-Tale Heart and Tatties on the Moor. Both of them populated by characters you might identify with. I mean, everyone has wanted to kill and bury an annoying past his prime pop star right? Right? And I can’t just move on without gushing about this line from Tatties on the Moor by Lisa R. Jonte-

It’s just perfect. Tongue in cheek and sassy as all get out, just like every bit of this issue and the ones that came before. Ahoy Comics has a serious winner in this series and getting an issue in my inbox makes me do my happy chair dance every. single. time.
