The Other Morgan starts with an animal extermination job. Morgan Yardley is a funny, chatty, local exterminator. When her father is hospitalized for cardiac arrest, she meets her dad’s other daughter. She has the exact the same name and seems to be aware of her counterpart. The worst part is this other Morgan seems to be better and more successful in every way. What follows is a short film about what success really means.
Jim O’Heir from Parks and Rec plays her dad and I love it. Alison Rich plays our first Morgan. She’s bubbly and hilarious. Mary Holland from Happiest Season plays the other Morgan, and does an incredible job of acting like a stuck up serious person hell bent on being better at everything. I absolutely loved this short film and laughed out loud. The casting is perfect, the message on point, and the delivery an enjoyable and bite-sized ride. Don’t miss this one at SXSW.
