Is the Disneyland Haunted Mansion one of your favorite rides? Or just a place to visit when you need to get out of the sun?
Either way, the ninety-nine happy haunts have been hard at work giving you a reason to hurry back. They have been redecorating over the last several months. Now, with the park reopening at limited capacity, it is time for them to show off. Not only have they cleaned some of the dust and smartened the cobwebs, they have rehung portraits and added a few new memorials to dearly departed pets outside the mansion.
There is a new, rather startled cat in a birdbath joining the pet cemetary (Can we just say that is one very deep birdbath?). The April to December portrait is back after a long absence, ready to dazzle visitors in the portrait gallery. New, living, plants have been added to the exterior landscaping, giving visitors somethign to admire as they move through the line.
Enjoy the preview video below, and then scroll down to the comments section to tell us what you are looking forward to seeing at the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, or elsewhere in the park.
For information on reopening, go to the Disneyland Resort page here. Please be sure to be careful to follow health instructions. We don’t want you literally dying to go back. The Happy Haunts can wait a while to fill their quota.
If you are one of the lucky early visitors, please post some pictures and tell us how it went! We’re eager to learn what fifteen percent occupancy looks like. I, at least, cannot remember ever seeing the park that empty.
